WTF!!?!? I was REALLY liking this story.. great romance, funny, suspense, sexy, sad...even had an out loud OH MY GOSH! moment (that made my hubby ask "what?") but the ending?? REALLY?? Did the author suddenly decide "Oh, I'm bored..so THE END!"? This is the first book with this author and I was very excited I bought the other 4-5 books in this series, but I'm not liking how the first one ended.. I'm reading #2 but if it stops abruptly this the first, I'm done with this author. I like what there was, but...Product details

Remi, a schoolteacher, raised her brother and sister after her parents died, now they are grown and living on their own. Her friends think it’s time to go out and have fun. They go to a club where she meets Jase. He’s gorgeous and just broke up with his girlfriend. He’s a hockey player and is not fond of teachers. They have a fun, one night stand but when he shows up at her school for the reading challenge, they are both surprised. Neither wants involved with the other but as they spend more time together, Jase realizes she’s not like the teachers he had in school. Remi doesn’t like the reporters that pop out everywhere but she wants to be with Jase, so she toughen ups and falls for him. But when Jase’s past comes back, will he lose the only woman he has ever loved?
This story is totally hot. Sexy hockey players. A pixie like schoolteacher. Family. And surprises.
This was a good book, but it could have been much better. IMO-The author spent way to much space with intimate sex, with blow by blow details. This space would have been spent developing a stronger story line, and doing a more in depth story about both of the characters. I wasn't real happy with the ending, either. We got a HEA of sorts, but it wasn't a definite HEA. Actually....it left us hanging a bit. I wanted to know if they ever moved in together. And I want to what happened with the child, or even if there really was one. Did they ever make their relationship a permenat one? Or are they just continuing to jump into one anothers beds, like they do now? And most of all, did his team end up winning the championship? So many loose ends that left us hanging.
Made it through 60% but couldn't keep going.. Nice characters but thin plot. The sex finally became too much. I tried skipping through but finally decided the plot and characters did not justify the boredom. I like a little sex with a lot of romance not a little romance with a lot of sex.
A stand alone read with a HEA. The story is set around a professional hockey player and the heroine is a school teacher with a bit of a mother complex forced on her. Personally, I liked the story. I don't know squat about hockey so I had no idea if it was the right league or not, etc. I just know they are big guys and they are tough., Frankly I have never liked to watch hockey because it does seem so brutal. But it is a bunch of guys with sticks so what can you expect. I LIKED this guy. He was big, sexy, etc. Like every other human being on this planet he had his issues. It was easy to understand that he still suffered from a teacher telling him he was stupid. Plus no one really knew much about his condition and just acted on the idea that he was a bad kid. It was easy to see why he hated teachers and school. Sad, but happens every day.
The heroine is a school teacher and a good one. From a very early age she was the sole caregiver to her two younger siblings. She got so caught up in taking care of them that she thought of herself as their mother rather than their older sister. She devoted her life to making sure they had a good life. While doing that, she raised two rather selfish, self-centered siblings that took advantage of her and played on her sympathy to get what they wanted rather than becoming responsible adults.
These two are a very unlikely pair but they seemed to make it work. The sex was about an 8 1/2 on a scale of 1-10 so if that is a problem for you, be warned. One thing to keep in mind, this guy was raised with 3 brothers, all big, hockey players. He has been able to get women anytime, anywhere and he didn't even have to work for it. So, being a man's man his language is not going to be that of an English teacher, so he does use the f word a lot but it fits his character. If you have a problem with that, be warned.
There is a bit of drama and these two go back and forth as to whether this relationship will work or not. Dealing with the fame and the money would be hard for a young woman that has never been in the spotlight and barely makes it from payday to payday. It is a good story, I thought. I really enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend it.
SPOILER---One thought and that is all it is. I wish they model had lied and they didn't have to deal with her. Would have made for a better ending to me. But that is just me.

What can I say I absolutely love The Heller Brother's. This is Jase Heller's story.
Jase is a professional hockey player, playing in Chicago just recently broken up with his super model girlfriend and out looking for some fun with his friends.
Remi a school teacher finally free of responsibility of taking care of her younger siblings and her friends want her to go out and start having fun fior herself.
When Remi & Jase meet they just looking for the other to help each other out but as they get to talking the Attraction is apparent and Sparks fly.
They start spending time together but Remi and Jase are hit with a bump in the road when Jase's previous relationship comes backs to him with some unexpected news. The two of them go through a rollercoaster of emotions but what you are hoping for is that the two of them find that HEA because Remi & Jase definitely deserve to be together.
If you love hockey, romance and everything in between this is definitely the book for you
Author needs to do her research on hockey. The Wolves are an AHL team and wouldn't compete for the Stanley cup. Also AHL teams don't play against NHL teams. In one chapter the Wolves were playing against the Coyotes and two paragraphs later somehow the Stars entered the game. Then the relationship between Remi and Jase? They kept referring to it as mere weeks but too much time/games passed for it to only be a few weeks.
